In September of 2022 I met my dad for the first time!! I had just moved back to SD after being homeless. At 19 years old, I was so lost and unsure of what I wanted to accomplish in life. Since a child I heard that my dad was a DJ, but I didn’t really know what that meant until I saw him spinning right in front of me at the 18th Amendment in Sioux Falls. One night while he was spinning he let me choose the next song, and before long I was pressing play, and shortly after that I was actually putting a mix together for the audience! Yes, my dad sparked my passion for DJing, but what made me hold onto it is the fact that I would have never imagined myself doing something like this. But there have been times like this, where being the center was laid upon me and I had to accept it. Now in 2025, I am so grateful for all of the wonderful experiences I’ve had, and the people i’ve met!
